Be Unapologetically Unique
This week I’ve been doing some training with Amanda Daley on the new changes going on in the online world.
Both she and I know that I’m not her ‘ideal client’, so why was I on the call with her and not with another coach?
Because I know she knows this topic really well.
I hear you saying ‘But you are not her ideal client, you just said so.’
Yes, you are right, but…
I have loved Amanda’s energy and straight talking advice for years.
I like that she is passionate about wellness just as I am.
She’s a tea drinker and I adore tea.
There are many things about her that I resonate with, not just the information she has to share.
It’s an energetic decision more than a strategic one, and it’s picked up by our subconscious brain.
So you see, people buy people, and your client will too.
Your ‘ideal clients’ will love you for who you are and what you can do to help them.
And YES YOU DO have to micro niche to the minuscule detail so you know them better than they know themselves.
But, your ‘non-ideal clients’ will want to work with you because of your uniqueness.
So, what makes me unique?
I’m a mum
I’m a neuroscientist who trains brains for success for a living - how great is that?)
I home educate our son
I live in the countryside, usually covered in mud and wrapped is scarves)
I adore art
I’m a qualified chef and I love cooking
I love being in the woods and nature with my Romanian Tr-paw and autism support dog Blue (I’m sure you will have seen him on my videos)
I adore animals, especially dogs
Did I mention talk about the brain a lot? (It’s the missing key to business success)
I have a thriving business with wonderful clients
I’m passionate about financially empowering women
I love classical music
I love puzzles and quizzes (I was on the reserve team for University Challenge as an undergrad)
I drink a lot of tea
I love my garden and passionate about growing veggies & herbs
We buy flowers for our home every Friday
I am very unconventional and like to do things in a different way
I bring all of this into my work and (although it did take a while to feel ok with it), I am now unapologetic about who I am.
Yes, I know my ‘ideal client’ but what attracts ‘non-ideal clients’ to my work is all of the other parts about who I am.
They can relate to me.
And your tribe will relate to you too, if you allow them.
Today I invite you to be unapologetic about who you are and ask yourself this “what uniqueness do I bring to my business?
